SELL PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS FROM THE TOWN HALL

ACHIEVEMENT: MET tickets are sold from the Town Hall as a means of promoting and facilitating greater public transport use.

TARGET DATE: April 2003 PROGRESS: Achieved.

DESCRIPTION: MET tickets are retailed from the public counter at the Melbourne Town Hall as a means of promoting and facilitating greater public transport use.

In 2001 I was successful is moving a motion for the Council to sell MET tickets to the public.

Melbourne Town Hall now leases a shopfront to the MET Shop, where the public can purchase MET tickets.

The Town Hall now leases the prominent store front on Swanston Street to the MET shop, making a full range of tickets and information available to the public from the Town Hall building.
